JTF Escapes Bomb Attack In Kano

JTF operatives consisting of mobile police officers escaped a bomb attack at Hotoro Eastern bypass during a routine patrol Thursday morning in Kano.
Security sources  told Vanguard that “an improvised explosive device was thrown at the moving vehicle of the JTF officials this morning”.
The source said that ” the substance was intercepted by a gallant officer who quickly thrown it  at the attackers  when it exploded within seconds”.
Vanguard learnt that the operational vehicle and the officers escaped unhurt, adding that they also came under fire from the vicinity of the blast”.
The account revealed  arrest were effected at the scene of the incident.
The police image maker in the city ASP Magaji Musa Majia confirmed the incident but failed to give details, adding the command will issue a statement on the incident soon.
